Congratulations, Emma! 🎉

We're thrilled to announce that Emma Van D**e has officially joined Kid Power as our new Development & Communications Assistant after an outstanding internship with our team!

Over the past several months, Emma has helped expand Kid Power's reach through thoughtful communications, creative design, and fundraising support. Most importantly, she's brought curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for our mission every step of the way.

Last week marked the first week of our Summer Leadership Academy at Boone Elementary School!

Before students arrived, our instructors spent four days learning, collaborating, and preparing for the summer ahead. Through hands-on training, they explored Kid Power's approach to youth development, practiced strategies for creating engaging learning environments, and strengthened the skills they'll use to support students throughout the summer.

We know that the relationships students build and the experiences they have begin with dedicated instructors who are equipped to help every young person learn, lead, and thrive.

We're grateful for our incredible team and look forward to sharing highlights from Summer Leadership Academy in the weeks ahead.

Ope is joining our Development Team this summer as our Digital Storytelling Intern. A rising senior at the University of Notre Dame studying Business Analytics and Marketing, she'll be helping us amplify youth voices and tell the stories that inspire our community.

When asked what she's looking forward to most, Ope shared:

"I am looking forward to developing my skills in mission-driven storytelling and learning how to communicate important topics in an engaging manner for our audiences on social media."
