Transformation Tuesday. The french doors in this breakfast room were mirrored, but we wanted a cozier feeling. We installed upholstered panels on the doors to create warmth. A chic metal table from Century Furniture and tailored chairs from Theodore Alexander--you'll always have the best seat in the house--and no need to tip the maitre d'.

The idea that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” is beautifully illustrated in this vignette. The careful mix of classical and contemporary styles contribute to a design that feels both dynamic and unified. Each piece adds a layer of storytelling, creating a space with curated intention. This is a guest room in my own home--sunburst mirror, English sculpture, and a lamp by Jonathan Adler.
