Earlier this month I attended an Future Caucus - formerly Millennial Action Project reception in Harrisburg. The Future Caucus is a bipartisan group of state legislations under 45 focused on finding ways to collaborate, sharing ideas across our Nation, and turning down the political tone. As a member of their nationwide AI Taskforce, I'm looking forward to continuing to work with them and my colleagues in Harrisburg.

Times have changed since was 22. People don’t dress up like hipsters and make fun of their exes like they used to. Instead, they turn 22 and run for office.

At least, that’s what Reps. Bryce Berry, D-Ga., and Angel Roeser, R-Kan., did.

In this BRAND NEW Lawmakers on Lawmakers, Berry and Roeser share what motivated them to run for office. Spoiler alert: neither of them actually wanted to initially. But both felt called to step up and serve their communities anyway.

So while others their age kept on dancin’ like they’re 22, Berry and Roeser were knocking doors, balancing school, planning weddings, teaching classes, and campaigning to represent their communities. (And *some* dancing, when the demanding legislative schedule allows!)

Fun fact: Berry and Roeser were sworn into office on the same day! January 13, 2025 will forever be remembered as the day they became Rep. Berry and Rep. Roeser.

Get to know both lawmakers and hear their stories by heading to the link in our bio to watch Lawmakers on Lawmakers!
