Kara-Tameika Watkins was the choreographer for World Goes Round, Once on This Island, Caroline or Change and Assistant director for Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and Co-director of Crowns at Creative Cauldron. Other credits include Carmen: An Afro-Cuban Musical, Peter Pan, Miss You Like Hell at Olney Theatre; Dreamgirls,Hairspray, A Funny Thing...Forum, Light Years at Signature Theatre; Crowns, Smokey Joe’s Café, The Pajama Game at Arena Stage; Little Shop of Horrors, Children of Eden at Ford’s Theatre; Caroline or Change at Studio Theatre; Once on This Island, Caroline or Change at Roundhouse Theatre; Barnum and Leader of the Pack at Totem Pole Playhouse: Ain’t Misbehavin’ at Barter Theatre: Hairspray at PCLO, Northshore Music Theatre and the Nevada productions of Hairspray and Smokey Joe’s Café. She has recently started the Artists in Need Project which is a monthly event to help artists that are in need of aid and a way to showcase their work.
