What a phenomenal night! Thank you to PRCC alums and for your time and your wisdom in sharing your comms expertise when it comes to presidential debates and post-debate PR strategies.
And, big thanks to everyone from the PRCC community who came to our debate party tonight to watch the candidates communicate their priorities to voters and analyze every message during our Zoom chat. We loved being able to connect what you’re learning in the classroom to what’s happening on the national political stage.

CONGRATULATIONS to Natalie Montanez on earning a Summer 2024 Outstanding Capstone honor!
Natalie’s Capstone project was in support of Force Free DC Dog Training & Behavior Consulting. The goal was to raise awareness around the importance of working with certified pet professionals for the well-being of pets, their guardians, and the people who work in the pet services industry.
We asked Natalie for her words of wisdom to those taking Capstone now and in the future. She said, “The Capstone process is challenging, but also illuminating. It forces you to cut through noise and competing priorities to focus on your audience’s perspective and your client’s unique opportunity. If you keep asking yourself ‘how does this connect back to our specific goal and our audience,’ you’ll be successful.”
Way to go, Natalie!

CONGRATULATIONS to Miranda Williams, LCDR, USN, for earning an Outstanding Capstone honor for the Summer Session. Miranda’s Capstone project capitalized on the reputation and resources of the Navy Office of Community Outreach to increase brand awareness of the U.S. Navy among U.S. adult Gen Z females.
When asked about what poignant takeaways she had from her Capstone experience Miranda said, “The most important lesson I learned during Capstone was to slow down, because it was during those times of reflection when I found myself discovering unique insights and solutions.”
Excellent work, Miranda!
