Very excited to see our very own Erin Mitchell Nelson featured in Antonia Tricarico's new photo book "Be My Rebel"! Antonia is an amazing photographer and this book documents protest art in its many many variations and manifestations. Thank you, .tricarico ! And congratulations a this beautiful and meaningful book.

🎉 We are ecstatic for company member Kelsey Mesa — who has been named Executive Artistic Director of Trustus Theatre in Columbia, South Carolina.

Kelsey's first show with Taffety Punk was with the Riot Grrrls' "Measure for Measure" for which she was Assistant Director to company member Lise Bruneau. Not long thereafter Kelsey became a director herself and helmed our productions of "She Rose Horses Like The Stock Exchange" by Amelia Roper, "Charm" by Kathleen Cahill, "dREAMtRIPPIN" by Thomas Michael Campbell, and the Riot Grrrls' "The Trojan Women" and "Othello", and more.

She is also an award winning playwright. Her play, La Salpêtrière, was produced by Taffety Punk Theatre Company and directed by company member Danielle A. Drakes in October 2023. It won a Helen Hayes award for Outstanding Production of a Play. The show was nominated for no less than five Helen Hayes Awards and company member Kimberly Gilbert won an award for her portrayal of Antoine in the show.

We will miss Kelsey severely, but she will be back soon! We are producing her newest play "Freddie: A Girl" which will run late August through most of September this year. Stay tuned for more news.

Congratulations, Kelsey! 🤘🔥🤘
