Basil Pesto Recipe๐โ

2 cups packed fresh basil leavesโ
2 cloves garlicโ
2 tsp of lemon juiceโ
1/4 cup pine nutsโ
2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil, dividedโ
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to tasteโ
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan or Pecorino cheeseโ

Add all ingredients (except the olive oil) to a food processor (or blender) and blend.โ
Add half of the olive oil and blend for another 15 seconds.โ
