Dull Men's

Just wanted to show my dolphin plant 😁🐬

My dull job for the day; sitting and watching people go in and out of this vessel, keeping track when they enter & leave.
I also get to check the atmosphere from time to time, which is pretty dull as well. If that gets exciting, Bad Things are happening.
Bad Things will be far too exciting; so dull will do for today.
M, 54; size 11.5US safety toe, getting new boots tomorrow…barely containing my excitement.

Same job again, and I’ll answer a few common questions—
The vessel is a vacuum pan for boiling (granulating) sugar; in this case it’s for low-purity syrup.
The radiation sign remains from the former density meter; the radioactive source was removed at least a decade ago.
The dodgy ladder was replaced with a taller, equally dodgy ladder…thanks for pointing it out, several of you.
The work currently being done in the vessel doesn’t involve anything that would change the atmosphere (eg, welding, torching, grinding…”hot work”), so atmosphere is checked with a 4-gas monitor prior to each entry (ie, at the start of the day, and after coming back from break; roughly every 2 hours).
There’s typically 2-3 people inside.
And the boot truck has not yet arrived; getting the boots will be a dull process, as I get the same brand/style of boots every year, and they have me on file…if by chance they don’t have them, they will ship them to me for no cost.
