Can AI help save trout?

We just released a new film on YouTube called “Above the Clouds,” and one of the most compelling moments in it comes from fisheries biologist Nathaniel “Than” Hitt, who walks us through the TroutSpotter program.

Built by and TroutSpotter uses AI to turn everyday anglers into citizen scientists — contributing real data to fisheries conservation every time they’re on the water.

In the film, we used the technology to log the first ever Colorado cutthroat trout into the database.
