Food adventure at the Swedish American Museum (part 2)

I want to feature some items from the museum store and cafe: elderflower flavored Swedish Fish candy, Dammsugare pastries, cloudberry preserve, and a sweet-and-tangy pickled fish sandwich. A lot of new ingredients I never had before. Everything tasted delicious. I also saw a Swedish card games that help players learn different Swedish apple varieties. And shout out to well-managed waste management system at the cafe.

Warm weather is here ☀️

My kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) or makrut that I’ve been growing indoors all winter is so excited and popping up new buds to welcome spring. Living in NY, I know I probably won’t get any fruit, but the leaves are what I use all the time in Thai cooking. You’ve likely tasted them in dishes like tom yum (spicy soup), tom kha (galangal coconut soup), panang curry, or yum (spicy salads). That citrusy, aromatic note? That’s this little plant doing its thing.

“เล่าเรื่องสวนจากคนทำจริง” ที่ทุกท่านจะได้ฟังเรื่องราวภูมิปัญญาสวนนนท์ จากชาวสวนตัวจริง รวมไปถึงการเข้าใจคุณค่า “สวนยกร่อง”
