I have made the difficult decision to not attend Detroit Bookfest tomorrow due to the air quality. I have asthma and other chronic health issues and it would be very difficult for me to be outside all day, even with an N95. Not to mention, this week has thrown all kinds of jabs at my broken body — excessive heat, smoky air, migraines, sinus pain, fatigue, joint pain — and I have not had time to replenish anything sold last weekend at Columbus. Hopefully I’ll see you August 1st in Toledo for Pages of Glass, LLC as Jess 🐻 The Bearcub Book Den.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been in rough shape since we got back from Columbus - my body is NOT HAPPY about all the spoons I used last weekend, but thankfully I’m finally starting to feel better today. I still have a ton to do before Detroit Bookfest but whatever gets done, gets done. I knew this was a risk, doing two big events back to back. This sticker perfectly encompasses how I’ve been feeling (and it’s in the shop now!).
