This inspection, the fascia trim didn’t have aluminum flashing so the weather rotted the trim. When it rains the weight from the gutters would pull down the fascia trim causing gaps between the fascia and drip edge flashing. Water introduced into the attic causing more rott to sheathing and framing. With time mold started growing on sheeting and insulation.

It’s always a good idea to check gutters, fascia trim and your drip ledge flashing from inside and outside of the house. If you can see daylight from inside the attic, water can intrude causing a big and expensive headache.
