Last week we welcomed Regional Coordinator Alec Hughes from Senator Gary Peters' office at Dunn Family Co-op Senior Apartments in Center Line, Michigan. We gave him the full tour, including the new wing that was added during the renovation in 2024. Not only did that investment allow us to create more communal spaces for our members, such as the floor lounges, but it also brought more natural light into the co-op. The highlight in the summer is without a doubt the outside area: two major patios where our members can relax, enjoy the sun and even do some gardening!

We had a great conversation with Mr Hughes, particularly about the importance of our Service Coordinators who work tirelessly to help folks with challenges, mental health and to thrive in our co-ops. Unfortunately Senator Peters wasn't able to attend the tour in person with us, but we greatly appreciate the support he and his office have always shown us. It's great to see leaders like him remain connected to their constituents, particularly to the seniors living in our co-ops!
