Along the way, we’ve had to remove some places. Not because we wanted to, but because trust matters. At the same time, Alhamdulillah, we’ve gained new spots that are committed to doing things the right way.

This only works if the community is part of it.

When you walk into a verified restaurant, don’t keep it to yourself. Let them know you chose them because they’re zabiha. That one sentence can be the difference between a business staying committed… or slowly slipping.

Owners pay attention to what people value. If we stay silent, that standard fades. If we speak up, it grows.

This isn’t just about where we eat. It’s about protecting what halal actually means. 🗣️

Verification builds trust and brings real support. Our voices matter — businesses shouldn’t leave their community hanging.

Over the past several months, we’ve engaged with owners, managers, and staff of Zarzoor Restaurant, Bismillah Restaurant, and Al-Aqsa Supermarket & Restaurant in an attempt to receive clarification regarding inquiries from the community.

After contacting their listed suppliers, we found discrepancies: while they may source some products, they are not receiving their full inventory as claimed.

We respect everyone’s preferences. We are not asking for anyone to change what they offer. We simply request that if a business does not exclusively provide hand-slaughtered meat, it should not claim to. Transparency ensures trust.

We kindly ask these establishments to share documentation, such as invoices, confirming their sourcing. This is simply a call for honest labeling and clarity.
