1996 Chevrolet Corvette LT4 and 6-Speed Manual
$20,950

his Torch Red 1996 Chevrolet Corvette was built to offer more, and not necessarily more speeding tickets. This hardtop Corvette coupe, with a 30-horsepower engine upgrade, stands out in a crowd for both its higher performance ratings than the standard LT1 V8 and its red-hot eye appeal. The 1996 Corvette has historic relevance in the brand’s story arc as the last model year of the fourth generation, and it helped reinforce Corvette’s high-performance credentials. At 42,100 miles, this apparently well-preserved example of the legendary sports car sports relatively low miles, too.

Grab this 2010 Ferrari California for $105,900!

Ferrari made headlines when it publicly debuted the California at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. While its name may conjure up images of classic Ferrari roadsters to a particular generation of automotive enthusiasts, the latest California is a thoroughly modern grand touring sports car. The introduction of Type 149, as it is known internally, brings several firsts to the Italian sports car maker. As if being the brand's first retractable hardtop convertible wasn't significant enough, it boasts several mechanical firsts, including a V-8 engine mounted ahead of the cabin, a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, a multi-link rear suspension, and the use of direct injection.

2010 California, this example finished in Argento Nürburgring over Black, carbon fiber steering wheel with LED lights, and Diamond Stitching style seats, front, and rear. Other options highlighted front and rear parking sensors, and the all-important "Scuderia Ferrari" shields.

Sitting under the long hood is a 32-valve DOHC 4.3-liter V-8, quite similar to the one in the F430. Among the changes to the engine when fitted in the California include the direct injection mentioned previously and a slightly lower but still impressive 8000 RPM redline. Rated at 453 horsepower and 358 lb-ft of torque from the factory, Car and Driver magazine recorded a 0-60 MPH run of just 3.9 seconds for the California. This impressive figure makes the grand touring sports car as quick as the F430, and the California can thank the quick-shifting dual-clutch transmission for that.

Offered by Auto Rossa Auto Sales, this 2010 California was freshly serviced at Ferrari of New England and is in exceptional condition. The interior doesn't suffer from any dash shrinkage. California-specific car cover, Ferrari factory charger, clean CarFax history report.

The auction for our 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD is now live on Hemmings. Check it out!

This W116-series 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Sedan is “very original” with a low ownership history and even comes with the original bill of sale.

Reeling from the effects of the 1973 energy crisis, coupled with enactment of Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards in 1975, the U.S. automotive landscape was experiencing a paradigm shift when the W116 Mercedes-Benz 300SD was introduced in 1978.

The world’s first passenger car to employ a turbocharged diesel engine, the W116 300SD was introduced to help Mercedes avoid the fines associated with the mandates the standards dictated. This was of particular concern to the company, because the robust nature of its cars meant they carried quite a bit of weight, which in turned reduced their fuel economy.

Fitting a turbocharged diesel engine to the S-Class enabled the marque to offer its most prestigious sedan with the fuel economy of a much smaller vehicle. The 1978 300SD achieved 25 mpg overall, at a time when the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet was delivering 24.
