Hoping to get into the hives when it warms up this week. We have already had two swarms leave!🐝😭

Three months, three colors!

Look at this incredible difference in color! The lighter honey on the right was our first harvest in early summer, and the darker honey was extracted Saturday. As the year goes on we'll see the honey become darker because of the plants available to the bees. The flavor is different too!

Do you have native plants for bees? Honey bees are not a native species of bee, but they do pollinate well! Keep some native plants in your yard for those that are native and remember to take care of our native pollinators!
