As families head out on vacations, many of our amazing foster homes need temporary coverage for the pups they've been caring for. Without vacation fosters, it becomes incredibly difficult to continue saving dogs from overcrowded shelters.

It’s not surprise that a girl like Aubrey is nearly invisible on the adoption circuit. A 2 year old pitty mix gets lost in a sea of others just like her. Perhaps that is why this girl ended up on the urgent list. Her score was off the charts on social ability with both humans and pups. This girl loves to play and could do it all day if you let her. She seems to have basic knowledge of skills such as leash, house and crate training. Her enthusiasm to make new friends is off the charts. Sometimes she needs a reminder to calm down, which she does very well in a crate. This girl is so eager to please yet no family wants to take that chance on her. Sweet Sadie would love to be your little lady!

We cannot be sure, but we have a feeling that most likely Sadie was once somebody’s baby. She has adapted to her foster home easily, showing that she has basic knowledge of house skills. Her social skills are not far behind. Sadie loves everyone she meets and will gently request extra pets with a little nudge from her head to your hand. While she is 8 years old Sadie is still a moderately active schnauzer mix. Her high strung days are definitely behind her. A walk or two followed by some pets and a lap to sit on would be ideal.
