This July, Abilities First proudly celebrates Disability Pride Month—a time to recognize the strength, talents, individuality, and contributions of people with disabilities while promoting inclusion, acceptance, and belonging.

At Abilities First, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and thrive. We are honored to stand alongside the incredible people and families we support each day, celebrating their achievements, advocating for accessibility, and embracing a community where everyone is recognized and valued for their Abilities First.

Together, let's continue building a world where differences are celebrated, barriers are removed, and every person has the opportunity to shine.

Happy Disability Pride Month! 🩶❤️💛🤍🩵💚

🎓💙 A day filled with pride, celebration, and unforgettable memories at the Firemen's Way School! 💚🎓

Congratulations to Sean and Jeffrey on their graduation! Surrounded by family, friends, staff, Board members, and members of the Abilities First Executive Team, we celebrated not only two incredible graduates but the bright futures that lie ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Firemen's Way team for making this day so special. A special shout-out to Nancy Besio, whose countless hours of planning—from coordinating every detail of the ceremony and invitations to creating the graduation videos, organizing refreshments, and supporting our students throughout the entire school year—made this celebration truly unforgettable.

Thank you to the Foundation for Abilities First NY for helping make the day extra special with beautiful flowers and graduation gift cards.

We are also grateful to the talented Arlington High School String Quartet, under the direction of Danielle Stier, for providing beautiful music as guests arrived and during the graduates' entrance. And a special thank you to Julia Hughes, Firemen's Way Music Therapist, for the heartfelt musical dedication that made the ceremony even more meaningful.

To Sean and Jeffrey—your Abilities First family is incredibly proud of you. Congratulations on this amazing milestone, and best wishes as you begin your next adventure! 🌟🎉
