DV Giving Partners

Thank you to The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley for their grant designated to our R.E.A.D. programs.

Diablo Valley Giving Partners has two R.E.A.D. (Read, Enrich, Achieve, Discover) programs that focus on cultivating a lifelong love of literature in young readers. In both programs our volunteers visit classrooms to read aloud and inspire curiosity through story telling.

Our Elementary R.E.A.D. program focuses on second grade classrooms, and also strengthens their school libraries by donating books.

Our Preschool R.E.A.D. program supports school readiness and language growth by nurturing early literacy in the Contra Costa County Head Start Program.

Both programs supply each child with a book of their own to take home and read with their families.

Our work continues because of grantors like The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley and their mission to serve the children of our surrounding communities.
