🌸MEET FAITH🌸

Meet RISE trainee Faith!

Hi all! Faith grew up here in Walnut Creek and went to Las Lomas High School! She graduated from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Biological Science with a concentration in Anatomy & Physiology and Molecular & Cellular biology with a minor in Psychology! Faith played competitive soccer and competed in gymnastics and acrobatics. Accompanying that, she has a background of 5 years of coaching gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance of all ages and skill levels. As well as a background in dermatology as a medical assistant. Faith is currently an aide/trainee here at RISE and is gaining loads of experiences and training to become a full fledged trainer super soon!

Fun facts: Faith has never had a PB&J sandwich 🫢

⚡️REINTRODUCING RACHEL⚡️

RISE’s Director & Activity Based Recovery Specialist, Rachel, grew up a competitive 🎾tennis player. She began competing at the age of 5 through her Freshman year in college. A torn ACL injury sidelined Rachel & sparked her interest in athletic training & physical therapy. Earning her BS in Kinesiology from San Jose State University, Rachel interned at a local sports performance facility as an assistant athletic trainer & developed a strength & conditioning specific program for junior tennis players.

Fun Fact:
This 🇨🇦Canadian is a car buff with a 🏎💨need for speed, but you’ll also find her cheering on her favorite team: 🏀Golden State Warriors!

Rachel’s Philosophy:
“Your body can stand almost anything, it’s your mind you have to convince.”

I grew up in 🇦🇺Australia & 🇬🇧England. During my first year in college I met her my husband playing 🏸badminton. In 2010 we decided to move to California. In need of a hobby (& loving the American food) I started running & completed over 25 half marathons, 6 full marathons, an ultra marathon & many endurance races. During my spare time I love to be outdoors with my 👨‍👩‍👦 son & husband.

My goal is to push you just past your comfort zone, to see where your body can take you working towards your goals.

🔸My Philosophy:
"Start by doing what is necessary; then what is possible; & suddenly you are doing the impossible."

🔸Fun Fact:
I was told by physical therapists to never run...now I run ultra marathons!
