Some friendly holiday shopping reminders. As we visit our local shops for last-minute gifts, here are a few easy ways to support them:
• Buy what we have in-stock.
If you're not sure what to pick, ask the shop assistants for recommendations! They have fantastic ideas.
• Really need a specific item that's
unavailable? Give a gift card. (Then your recipient gets a gift card AND a trip to one of your favorite local businesses, which is pretty much two gifts in one.
• Buy where you browse. If you find the perfect gift in a local store, or receive the help of an assistant, please buy with them-not elsewhere.
• Be patient and kind. During this busy season, lines may be longer and some items may not be available. But everyone is doing their best.
