If you have been around drag racing, street performance or hot rodding you know the name Marvin Benoit. Marvin worked for Holley many years designing some of the best carburetors in the world. In 1997 he left Holley with a plan to build a racer friendly product out of the box at an affordable price. With that Quick Fuel Technology was created. Over the years QFT carbs and parts have been a part of many winning combinations and have won numerous head to head, best of the best builder competitions. Sadly he sold the company back in 2012 to the parent company that now owns Holley. After watching prices increase over the years and seeing racers struggle to find an economical solution his daughter Angela Benoit Neely decided to do something about it and founded ATM Innovation. GM designed a great platform that unfortunately has a terrible flaw. Active Fuel Management in my opinion is the worst idea ever thought of. In a nut shell it is the biggest cause of engine failures in GM vehicles that have LS engines. Sadly the cost to fix or replace these engines has risen drastically over the last few years. Many shops and dealers only replace the lifters that are bad and the cam if needed. They charge an average of $2000 for this type of repair only to replace parts with parts that will fail again. We at The LS Doctors simply don’t do that. We swap the cam and lifters to a non AFM part. We also replace ALL bearings, pistons, rings, valve seals, all gaskets, oil pump, pick up, timing chain and gears, pushrods, lifter trays and if needed a VVT delete kit. We clean, check and polish the crank, check, clean and hone the block and surface both cylinder heads and block. This ensures no metal is anywhere in your engine and that your engine is better than it was when it was first assembled.
