Embodied Nutrition

Really loving “The Wisdom of Your Body” by Hillary McBride, PhD so far. It’s a very readable and relatable way to learn about embodiment practices and how to make sense of being in a body. I’m working my way through it and will update with some of my favorite parts of the book. Very much wanting the cover art to frame and hang in my office!

There are two groups of people in the world: the breakfast people and the anti-breakfast people. I’ve been both. So I understand when you say “I juts don’t have time” or “I have zero appetite in the morning”. But hear me out: Taking the time to eat in the AM provides every single cell in your body with the energy it needs to function. With out adequate fuel you can expect dips in:
1) Energy
2) Focus
3) Mood
I want you to be your fully energized and embodied self. Consider taking the time this weekend to feel how your body responds to starting the day off with a full meal versus just coffee (gentle reminder that coffee is not a meal 😉). How is your energy, focus, and mood?
PS I’m catching major vibes from this egg 🙂
