Very sad to learn of Gordon Goodwin and his passing yesterday. He was only 70 and just a few weeks from his 71st Birthday.

In 2014 I launched my lead trumpet course and to bring attention to it, I juiced up Gordon Goodwin's Mueva Los Huesos lead trumpet part...kinda showing me being a big fan of Gordon!

I also saw Gordon and the Big Phat Band perform live at Vitello's Jazz Club when I lived in Santa Monica California more than a decade ago.
