It's with this month's spotlight, the stingray!

Did you know? Stingrays can detect the electrical signals of prey using special sensors called ampullae of Lorenzin! These are electroreceptors, sense organs able to detect electric fields ⚡

We are happy to introduce Naga, a young reticulated python. Native to Southeast Asia, reticulated pythons are the world’s longest snake species, with some individuals growing over 20 feet long. Despite their impressive size, they rely on camouflage, powerful muscles, and patience rather than venom to capture prey 🐍

Charlie and Lucy are making the most of their summer! They are now exploring, swimming, and even coming down for guest appearances during penguin encounters 🐧

Both chicks now have their name bands and their juvenile grey coloration makes them easy to spot in the crowd. Visit Penguin Shores to catch a glimpse of these two!
