We are excited to share that we won a $20,000 MLK Grant to mobilize the Green Schools pilot program with Rapoport Academy and National Women in Agriculture! This grant funding is going directly to the East Waco Community at the Garrison Street Community Garden.

Through a collaborative partnership with National Women in Agriculture, the Waco Downtown Farmers Market, and Rapoport Academy, the Raven’s Green Team is creating a farm-to-market pipeline. This initiative leverages their outdoor garden at The Garrison Garden in East Waco as a hub for growth and learning. Educational efforts are led by Chisa Brigham, fostering hands-on engagement and community impact.

All $20,000 is restricted to this project site in support for the Rapoports Green Team and education. We have work days scheduled over the summer to help get the space ready for the upcoming school year, learn more and sign up to be part of this great initiative!
