Bad judgement/bad fortune story of the week...
Drunk teen breaks into Airbnb - which is currently being rented by police officers.
Hmmm... So many things wrong with this story.
1) Teen shouldn’t have been drunk.
2) Teen shouldn’t be breaking into any building.
3) Who provided teen with alcohol?
4) Why did the teen break into an Airbnb not knowing who was there?
5) What are the chances that the police officers just happened to rent that particular abode on that particular day?
6) ... the list just goes on and on...
Did you ever notice that often when we make a bad decision, we follow that up with another bad decision, and another after that. Because, once the first bad decision is made, it is easier to make the second bad decision.
With that in mind, let’s make a conscious choice to make good, right, and better decisions every day. Let us begin with our first choice every morning to serve God faithfully throughout the day. Then let’s continue by finding time for prayer, Bible study, and even sharing the Good News with someone. We might even decide to be kind, caring, and compassionate to those around us!
Don’t get stuck in the ‘bad decision’ cycle. Let’s make good decisions - every single day. And, one day at a time, we can make our world a better place.
