This is Emily. On the left, she’s 7. On the right, she’s 18.

Eleven years between these two images - 2014, and now. And I took them both.

Time flies, y’all. Make sure to hug your seniors this year. I wish I had words for how proud I am of this kid. 💜

Sharing this to clear the air, because I can’t be silent about this. I already know I’ll lose followers over it, which is fine given I’m a sole proprietor who doesn’t market very well to begin with.

I do not have a solid business location anymore, but I need it to be known that Turning Pointe Photography serves as a SAFE SPACE for ALL who need it. LGBTQ? People of color? Other religions? Disabled? Low income? I welcome you and your family, and I will serve you with as much love as I can muster. I am gradually working on adding a nonprofit/charity sector to my line of work.

I welcome all walks of life, races, ethnicities, etc into my workspace and will work to respect everyone’s individual choices and practices as long as they are not causing grievous physical/emotional harm to others. We are all human, and equality is mandatory within my business. If you do not approve of my ethics and plan to make a fuss over it, I invite you to search for another photographer and wish you the best of luck.

I have to put humanity over profit. I’m not a corporation, I am a single person serving others to the best of my abilities.

On the topic of “do no harm,” I am also a safe space and a mandated reporter for family violence survivors. If I suspect anything, please know I have a duty to report for the safety of children and their families. It isn’t intended maliciously, but it isn’t a suspicion I will hesitate to report on.
