"When communities invest in local businesses, everyone grows together."
Our latest blog highlights how Grassroots Community Development partnered with the City of Waco to help business owners access the 2026 Beautification Grant, with a special focus on expanding language access for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs.
Through bilingual information sessions and personalized application support, more local business owners had the opportunity to apply for funding that will enhance their storefronts and strengthen their presence in the community. Five grants were awarded this cycle, including two supporting primarily Spanish-speaking business owners.
Partnerships like these help create stronger businesses, more vibrant neighborhoods, and greater opportunity across our community.

Today we celebrate Independence Day and the freedoms we share as a nation.
Our team wishes you a safe and enjoyable holiday filled with time spent with family, friends, and community.
A special part of the Renaissance at Sanger Heights has been standing here long before construction began.
This historic oak tree will remain at the heart of one of the future green spaces in the neighborhood. As work continues around it, extra care is being taken to protect this longtime landmark and preserve the shade and beauty it brings to the property.
For years it has been a quiet part of this place. Soon, it will become a gathering spot for neighbors to rest, connect, and enjoy a moment together beneath its branches.
It’s one more reminder that this work is about building for the future while honoring what has always been part of the story.
