This bathroom transformation completely changed the way this space feels — without actually adding square footage.

The original bathroom had a large built-in soaker tub and a closet that made the room feel tight, closed off, and outdated. The homeowners wanted something brighter, cleaner, and much more functional for everyday use.

So we completely reimagined the layout:
✔️ Removed the oversized soaker tub
✔️ Removed the closet to open the room up
✔️ Built a custom doorless walk-in shower
✔️ Installed a floating bench seat for comfort and accessibility
✔️ Added a full-width rear storage shelf for shampoos, soaps, and accessories
✔️ Installed a pony wall with tempered glass to maintain an open feel
✔️ Replaced the oversized window with a smaller, more private window
✔️ Installed updated lighting and modern black fixtures
✔️ Installed a fully waterproofed and sealed custom shower system

One of the coolest parts of this remodel is how much larger the bathroom feels now, even though the footprint itself really isn’t that big. The open shower design, glass panel, lighting, and cleaner layout completely transformed the space into something modern, functional, and relaxing.

The homeowners are absolutely loving the final result, and honestly, this one turned out incredible.

We recently wrapped up this custom shower renovation in McGregor, TX, and the transformation is night and day.
The original shower was an older cultured marble system that had begun leaking and was showing its age. Beyond the leaks, the shower felt cramped, dark, and outdated, so the homeowners wanted something cleaner, brighter, and built to last.
Here’s what we upgraded:
✔️ Complete demolition of the old leaking shower system
✔️ Installed a fully sealed and waterproof shower system
✔️ Raised the ceiling height to 8 feet to create a larger, more open feel without changing the footprint
✔️ Installed classic white subway tile walls for a timeless look
✔️ Added a black-and-white hex mosaic floor tile for contrast and character
✔️ Built a custom two-tier recessed niche for easy storage and a cleaner appearance

🛁 China Spring Master Bathroom Transformation 🛁

We recently completed this beautiful master bathroom remodel in China Spring, TX, and the transformation completely changed the feel of the space.

The original bathroom had a very typical 90s builder-grade layout with a large corner soaker tub, outdated finishes, and darker tones that made the room feel dated. The homeowners wanted something brighter, cleaner, and more sophisticated while still keeping the bathroom warm and inviting.

Here’s what we updated:
✔️ Removed the oversized 90s-style drop-in soaker tub
✔️ Installed a beautiful freestanding soaking tub with a floor-mounted tub filler
✔️ Installed all new vanity cabinetry and updated hardware
✔️ Added modern framed wall molding details for a more upscale custom look
✔️ Installed new wall sconces and updated lighting throughout the bathroom
✔️ Installed new marble-look tile flooring
✔️ Updated mirrors, fixtures, and finishes throughout the space

One of the biggest goals with this remodel was taking the bathroom from that “builder-grade 90s” feel into something much more modern and elegant without losing warmth or comfort. The lighter finishes, updated lighting, and freestanding tub completely transformed the atmosphere of the room.

🎅🐂 Even Santa Knows a Good Remodel When He Sees One! 🎄

It’s been a great Christmas season here at Stockyard Refacing + Remodeling, and we’re wrapping up the year feeling incredibly grateful.

This week, we made solid progress on our Lacey Lakeview kitchen remodel in Waco, with new cabinetry built and installed, countertops going in, and layout changes coming together beautifully. Our goal is to have this family’s kitchen mostly functional for Christmas — and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic space for cooking, gathering, and making memories.

As we slow things down for the holidays, we just want to say thank you to all of our customers, friends, and supporters. 2025 has been a busy and rewarding year, and we’re truly thankful for every project and every family who trusted us with their home.
