Class of 2026 is officially DONE with the didactic year! What a year of growth, knowledge, endurance, and strength from the Lord. We can’t wait to step into fieldwork and apply everything we’ve learned so far. Cheers!!

Happy Thanksgiving from Baylor SOTA! Today we’re reflecting on the people and experiences that have shaped our journey—family, friends, pets, our peers, and this incredible program. Grateful for it all. 💚💛

✨Little Gala Recap!!!✨

SOTA was so happy to host our gala this year and give everyone a chance to hang out, laugh, and celebrate before we head off to our first fieldwork rotations in January! We’re so proud of everyone’s grit, determination, and drive that got them to this point and we hope you all felt super celebrated. Thank you to everyone who came — we hope you had an amazing time! 💚💛

Next week we will be hosting a very special opportunity for year 1 and 2 students to gain knowledge and skills for the future! We are happy to announce that four Baylor OT alumni will be joining us to cover everything from fieldwork prep to the NBCOT to navigating life as a new clinician. Here’s some more information on our guest speakers:

Erin Hernandez: Works in outpatient and school-based pediatrics. Also, a registered ADHD provider and certified in Ayres Sensory Integration!

Amber Lupo: Works in pediatric and adult outpatient & acute care. Also, holds a specialty certification in LSVT-BIG for Parkinsons and is a certified Neuro Specialist!

Ben De Leon: Works in outpatient pediatrics focused on integrated autism care. Also, has worked in home health pediatrics previously!

Lexie Frachiseur: Works at the VA in Skilled Nursing Care with a strong emphasis on hand therapy. Also, pursuing CHT for the future!

Time to throw it back! Wear your undergraduate college or university shirt and represent your roots!

Kick practical’s butt with your wackiest, most colorful socks! The crazier, the better.

🌎 Wednesday – Rep Your State Day
Whether it’s your home state or your favorite place to visit, wear gear that shows your state pride!

🏈 Thursday – Sports Day
Jerseys, team hats, and fan gear galore! Show some love for your favorite sports team. Or any activity that you love!
