You guys - vegan veggie burger alert! Commune, on 17th and Baltic, made these ALL LOCAL flavor monsters to sling at their burgers night tomorrow evening, from 5:30pm until they run out! $5 a pop, come hungry!

Vegan cheese - rich, creamy, cultured, aged, air-dried decadence. No more excuses

Early stages of air-dried parmesan. It's actually taken 3 days just to get this far - making homemade soymilk, using that milk to make soy yogurt, draining the yogurt for 24 hours to make yogurt cheese, flavoring the yogurt cheese, and now smoothing the cheese into a wheel shape and letting time do its thing - it will probably be another 2 weeks before this wheel is ready, but when it is it will definitely have been worth the effort, and the wait!
