Southern chicken cornbread dressing Do y’all call it dressing or stuffing? I’m Haitian and this is not a dish I was accustomed to growing up. I was introduced to it when I moved to the States and fell in love with it But living in NY we called it stuffing. It wasn’t until I moved down South that I heard it called dressing, and I’ve been calling it that ever since. Stuffing just sounds weird to me, lol I made my own chicken broth and cornbread (no Jiffy!). It’s not as hard as you think and it’s more flavorful Cornbread: -1 1/2 cup self-rising AP flour -1 cup cornmeal -1 1/2 cup buttermilk -1 stick (8 tbsp) of butter -2 large eggs -garlic powder -onion powder -salt -other seasoning of choice Dressing: -cornbread (crumbled) -shredded chicken -chicken broth -onion, celery, bell pepper sautéed in 1 stick of butter -1 can cream of chicken -1 can cream of mushroom (or cream of celery) -garlic powder -onion powder -ground sage -black pepper -chicken bouillon (or any other seasoning of your choice) -2 eggs -stovetop stuffing mix Bake at 375F for about 1 hr until golden brown and center is no longer giggling . . . . . . . . . #cornbreaddressing #food #foodporn #foodie #foodies #instafood #instafoodie #foodreels #viralreels #blackfoodie #blackfoodbloggers #blackfoodies #blackfoodblogger #instafoodblogger #haitianfood #caribbeanrecipes #caribbeanfood #caribbeanfoodie #blackfoodie #blackfoodbloggers #thanksgiving #cornbread #explorepage #thanksgivingdinner 12/04/2023
