💙 Jamila MiMi Oliver

Jamila is more than a teacher.

She’s a mentor, a role model, and someone who genuinely invests in the lives of her students.

She cares so deeply about the young people she serves that many of them become like family. Her impact extends far beyond the classroom, helping students believe in themselves, pursue their goals, and know they have someone in their corner.

We’re also recognizing Blair, who many would describe as the heart of Fairfield Elementary School.

As a school counselor, she goes above and beyond to meet the social and emotional needs of her students while making sure no child feels forgotten.

She helps provide food for students during weekends and long breaks, organizes Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need, and leads efforts like the Star Tree program to help make sure children receive gifts during Christmas.

Behind the scenes, Blair wears countless hats and works tirelessly to support students, families, teachers, and staff.

Her kindness, compassion, and dedication have touched countless lives throughout the community.
