Washington Avenue Road Closure Notice for Thursday Evening/Overnight Hours, July 2, 2026:

Both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes of Washington Ave. between Mountain View Rd. and Meadow St. in the vicinity of the Vinton War Memorial will be closed overnight tonight from Thursday, July 2, 2026, 9:30 PM, through Friday, July 3, 2026, 2:00 AM, for road work. Please find alternate routes during that timeframe. We appreciate your patience.

Office Closure Notice: Town of Vinton offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Refuse and Bulk Collection Information: Thursday, July 2, 2026, and Friday, July 3, 2026, routes for refuse and bulk will be collected on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

🚨 Important Road Closure information for Friday, June 12th below!

🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

On Friday, June 12, Vinyard Road will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic between Hardy Rd and the intersection of Bedford Rd and Virginia Ave between the hours of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM while Town Public Works crews complete road repairs.

Please note: The Bojangles parking lot will remain accessible from Hardy Rd.

Motorists are encouraged to plan an alternate route and use caution when traveling in the area. Thank you for your patience as we complete these improvements.

Notice of Road Striping Tomorrow on W. Virginia Ave. and Hardy Rd.:

Tomorrow, June 2, 2026, a contractor will be pre-marking and then striping the new pavement on W. Virginia Avenue and Hardy Road beginning around 11 am. One lane will be done at a time until all striping is complete. Please use caution in this area and follow any road construction signs that may be in place.
