It was an honor to represent our Local as Delegate to the 40th IBEW Convention in Chicago this month. Delegates are charged with voting for our International President, International Secretary Treasurer, International Executive Council Chairman, International District Vice President’s, International Executive Council District representatives, Resolutions and Amendments of our Constitution, and appeals of officers charged among other delegate duties over the course of the Convention week. Lots of changes are coming to our IBEW and stay tuned to our Local Union for specific updates. Conventions are held every 5 years with the 40th being postponed due to the ongoing Pandemic because of the seriousness of the business to be handled. I thank fellow delegates for conducting themselves as they were elected to by our local union’s and our members for the opportunity to represent Local 613 at this important of a duty.
