Taking care of yourself doesn’t stop when you’re traveling.

Even being in this field, I still have to remind myself to take care of my own body. Long hours on the road take a toll… but having the right support, making stops, and actually listening to my body made all the difference.

Don’t wait until you’re in pain to slow down and take care of yourself.

Make time for movement, recovery, and care 💛

Your body will thank you. 🏋🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️”

Long hours on the road can take a real toll on your body… especially your hips, low back, and SI joint.

As someone who works hands-on with the body every day—and is currently feeling it myself—I can’t stress this enough:

How you drive matters.
A few simple adjustments can make a big difference: • Sit all the way back in your seat (don’t hover forward)
• Keep your hips level—avoid leaning or favoring one side
• Use support (lumbar roll or cushion) to maintain neutral spine
• Take breaks to get out, walk, and reset your body
• Keep both feet grounded—no twisting or tucking
It’s not just about comfort… it’s about protecting your body long-term.

Doctors and their teams give so much of themselves. Grateful to Dr. Singh for having me come by Washingtonian Plastic Surgery today to provide much-needed self-care through massage therapy for his incredible staff.

In this season of turning, as light and darkness meet, may you pause and feel the simple truth of being here—alive, breathing, belonging. Whatever this time brings—joy or sorrow, connection or quiet—may you meet it with a tender heart and deep self-compassion.

May you remember that nothing you feel separates you from love, and that you are held in a vast field of care. May kindness guide your steps, peace soften your body and mind, and love widen to include us all.

With Loving Blessings, Tara
