Dan has 25+ years of corporate management experience including CEO, CFO and Controller of the consulting firm he founded and grew for 13 years - Performa Apps.

He also has ERP software and digital transformation experience working with CEO's, CFO's, Controllers and other C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies.

Over the years, Dan has gained specialties in Finance (e.g., Financial Statements, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting) and Manufacturing (e.g., MRP, Production, Industry 4.0, Smart Factories, MES systems) consulting and project management.

PCG will apply Dan's extensive thought leadership in enterprise software as the driving force behind solution and thought leadership platforms like:

He has helped CFOs and Controllers in a variety of industries with financial reporting, GAAP and IFRS compliance, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) projects, separation of duties, and federal compliance requirements. He has also been a CFO and Controller himself for several businesses.

SAP S/4HANA is one of the most widely used ERP systems in the market, especially among larger and more complex organizations. But what exactly is SAP S/4HANA and what types of organizations are most likely to benefit from this ERP software?

S/4HANA is SAP’s most recent flagship ERP product. It started as R/2 on the mainframe, then became R/3 on client/server, and finally was developed as ECC on premises before S/4HANA debuted in 2015. In summary, S/4HANA is a complete code base rewrite of ECC and a move to the HANA database that was architected for the cloud.

Earlier in 2023, to “encourage” on-premises ECC customers to move to S/4HANA in the cloud, SAP announced a “double whammy”. First, they raised the maintenance on ECC on-premise by 30%, and second, they said that innovations in S/4HANA like the Joule AI Copilot would not be backported to ECC. So, in other words, SAP said to customers that they will pay more to get less innovation and new functionality until they spend significant money and time on an upgrade.
