Noe R. Olvera MD Rheumatology Clinic COVID-19 Update (April 8, 2020):
Hi everyone,
Last week I started with telemedicine visits with good success. If you have an upcoming appointment, please do not cancel it. I can take care of refills and adjust your treatment if you are not doing well. Please do not come to the office. Telemedicine visits will be done through smart phone with Google Duo which is a free app.
Patients receiving in-office infusion or injection of biologics will continue to be on hold next week. If patients are not doing well, they should call the office and I can try to make some adjustment to their treatment.
Currently I have a skeleton crew working the office so that my staff will not have to endure excessive exposure. Please be patient if you are calling the office and the phone rings longer than expected. Also, feel free to use the patient portal to message me directly in a secure way.
We will continue to closely monitor and provide updates to our patients accordingly. For any further questions or concerns, please contact our office at 361-574-1893.
Noe R. Olvera MD Rheumatology Clinic Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update (March 19, 2020):
Our top priority is to keep our patients and staff safe. We are taking every precaution to avoid the potential spread of the Coronavirus infection at our office.
Starting next week, I will be offering telemedicine visits. If you have an upcoming appointment, you will be contacted by our office soon with further information. You do not need to cancel your appointment at this time. Patients who require a higher level of care, may be offered a face to face visit if they need a procedure (ie. joint injection) on a case by case basis.
Patients receiving in-office infusion or injection of biologics will continue to receive treatment in our office without any interruption for now.
We will continue to closely monitor and provide updates to our patients accordingly. For any further questions or concerns, please contact our office at 361-574-1893.
Our phone system is currently experiencing some technical difficulties. The IT department with Citizens Medical Center is currently working on fixing this issue. Feel free to contact Dr. Olvera via patient portal. We appreciate your patience.
Due to Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, our office is closed until further notice. Our building is not fully operational. We are receiving daily updates from our building manager. If you have an appointment the next couple of days, Dr. Olvera is personally reaching out to you. Please do not come to the office. We will have a better idea of when our office will reopen later this week. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope all of you are safe. As always, Dr. Olvera will be available to take urgent phone calls.
