The owners of this new build chose two different colors of stain for different rooms. Saddle Brown is your brown tone and Sun Buff gives the floor a subtle beige tone. Three coats of sealer gives them a long lasting gloss finish. Depending on condition of the concrete and complexity of the areas, stain floors generally run $4-$5 sq ft. The floor can then be covered to protect it from construction.
