Local Peace Economy

Do you want to dream of impossible things? Join us tonight for the Local Peace Economy gathering to hold space for the possibility of change in a world on fire. It might feel very far away, but we humans have been doing impossible things for a very long time.

When we look at the systemic collapse surrounding us right now, it is tempting to say, "I give up. It is impossible!" But humans have been doing impossible things for millennia. The next Local Peace Economy Gathering is tomorrow, Wednesday 5/27 and we are going to come together around the concept of "impossible" and ask ourselves, "What impossible things might be possible after all?"

Tonight our Local Peace Economy Gathering will explore the relationship between actions and impact. What if your impact on others and the world doesn't happen the way you think it does? What if small actions make big ripples?

Practicing compassion for others is the basis for practicing peace. Community connection and action is where peace begins. What can you do today to bring peace to those around you?

Tonight, let's get together to workshop our writing in a supportive environment: poems, short stories, songs and novel chapters focusing on the peace economy: works that speak to a culture of empathy, solidarity and connectedness, and resist a culture of violence and war. All skill levels are welcome -- We hope to see you there!
