Clinician Task Force

This week Theresa Berner and Jill Sparacio represented the CTF at the 2026 Congressional CRT Product Expo and Leadership Summit on Capital Hill. Standing alongside partners across the Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) community, they met directly with members of Congress and their staff to showcase CRT products and engage in conversations for policy to protect access. Advocacy for access and coverage for CRT is at the core of the mission of the CTF. We hope to continue to engage with all stakeholders in an united effort to ensure all individuals have access to the technology that they deserve.

CTF members in attendance included: Julie Piriano, Jessica Presperin Pedersen, Jill Sparacio, Theresa Berner and Ashley Detterbeck.

Members of the CTF gathered to collaborate with industry partners to provide education and network with clinicians at the first conference in LA!

New FREE online training is now available to help build practical manual wheelchair skills for everyday life!

These web-based, self-directed courses include step-by-step guidance, photos, videos, and safety tips for skills such as navigating ramps, turning and maneuvering, transfers, wheelies, and more.

Courses are available based on propulsion style:
• Using both arms
• Using one arm and one leg
• Using both legs

Designed for manual wheelchair users, care partners, and rehabilitation professionals. This training is based on the Wheelchair Skills Program and developed in collaboration with wheelchair users.
