The DOVE Project
05/15/2026
May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to recognize the importance of mental health, reduce stigma, and strengthen support for those impacted by trauma.
At DOVE, we are committed to providing trauma-informed mental health services for survivors of trauma, as well as youth at Vashon High School. Every day, we work to create spaces where healing, safety, connection, and empowerment are possible.
Mental health stigma thrives in silence, shame, and isolation. Healing begins when people are met with compassion, understanding, and community support. No one should have to navigate trauma or mental health challenges alone.
This month, we invite our community to help normalize conversations about mental health, support survivors, and advocate for accessible, trauma-informed care for all. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community where healing is possible.
