He thought buying s*x was “no big deal"... just something guys do. No one really gets hurt.
🚨Then one night, he was arrested.
Sitting there, scared and angry, he met our Epik volunteers. Not cops. Not judges. Just a group of men willing to look him in the eye and tell the truth. They asked him hard questions:
➡️ "Who do you think gets hurt when you buy s*x?"
➡️ "Is this the kind of man you want to be?"
For the first time, it clicked. The person on the other side of that screen or phone was not “fantasy” or “service.” She was real, someone who might be trapped or controlled. That night, he made a decision: never again.

What does it mean to fight trafficking? As we know, there are many lanes within the anti-trafficking movement as a whole. All of them are vital to tackling this issue, whether it is by supporting survivors, supporting safety planning, influencing policy, or any other number of efforts. However, without addressing demand, there is no fighting trafficking. In football terms, disrupting demand is an offensive strategy and that is key to prevention!
