Overflow Upstream Parents, here is a helpful way to start teaching our memory verse to your littles!

Teach your kids the verse using the following hand motions:

“Jesus answered, (point both hands up) ‘I am (thumbs to chest like you are pointing to yourself) the way (hold both arms straight in front of you like a path), and the truth (cup your hands around your mouth like you are speaking) and the life’ (hold both arms straight out to your sides). John 14:6 (open your hands like a book).”

When Jesus began his ministry, he asked 12 men to be his disciples and to follow in his footsteps and learn from his teaching and his actions. Even today Jesus wants us to be his disciples and commit to following him by obeying what he has taught us in the Bible. Little ones will learn that “I can follow Jesus, by obeying the Bible.”
