Leakey, TX makes for a great headquarters for a Frio River trip in the western portion of the hill country. Here’s a few activities I enjoyed with @traveltex:

- Hike Old Baldy at @garnerstateparktx

- Do the Three Twisted Sisters scenic drive that connects Medina, Vanderpool, Leakey and Camp Wood

- Go see the Rio Frio Landmark Oak, a former Texas state champion live oak with a 25 foot trunk

- Take a dip in the Frio at @riverbluffcabins or @garnerstateparktx

- Hike @lostmaples and experience a nice lack of cell phone service
