First Class CPR
Cardiac arrests occur as a result of electrical impulses and sometimes, due to severe injuries. Since a healthy person can suffer a cardiac arrest, a lot of lives can be save if you and others around you learn the techniques and basics of CPR.
If you think someone is experiencing a heart attack and that person takes nitroglycerin, you can help them take it. However, if the person doesn’t take prescribed chest pain medication, don’t give them someone else’s, as that can be extremely harmful.
Statistics have shown that approximately 90% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests end up really bad – death. This is especially because those around the person do not know how to perform CPR.
Has your teenager expressed interest in working as a babysitter in their free time as a way to earn spending money? Remember, anyone who’s going to work with young children should consider certifying in CPR so they’ll have emergency skills.
