The Peace Operations Specialized Training (POST) Certificate Programme offers you the opportunity to earn a certificate showcasing professional skills in one or more specialized areas, including military studies. Earning a Military Studies POST Certificate advances your knowledge of military involvement in peace and security and demonstrates your commitment to professional development.

To earn a POST Certificate, you must complete eight POTI courses and pass a comprehensive examination. Upon completion of these requirements, you will receive an official letter of congratulations, a transcript, and a POST Certificate.

This week, the POTI Deputy Director presented to the Regional Roundtable on UN Peace Operations in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event, hosted by the government of Slovenia, the Peace Operations Training Centre - POTC, and the United Nations Light Coordination Mechanism , provided a forum for discussing the future of peace operations and methods for ensuring training adapts to meet operational realities.

Now available in English, French, and Spanish, the Institute’s Family Responsibilities and Care course builds knowledge and inspires practical action: small changes in how we talk about care, support one another, and lead our teams can make a meaningful difference.

Family Responsibilities and Care explores many topics, including the:
• Gendered nature of unpaid care work
• Stigma surrounding caring responsibilities
• Biases caregivers confront in security institutions
• Effect of family separation on personnel's well-being and effectiveness
• Strategies individuals, leaders, and organizations can implement to build more care-attentive workplaces

This course was created in collaboration with the Monash Global Peace and Security Centre and informed by the research project Advancing the Meaningful Participation of Women by Supporting Personnel with Caring Responsibilities.
