I’m sure I’m just an old cranky weirdo about it, but here we go.

If a language has a totally different alphabet than English, when it’s translated over, why wouldn’t it be phonetic?

Why is Pho pronounced Pha when it could just be spelled Pha. It’s not like we already had that word so there would be confusion.

The last thing English needs is more silent letters and odd spellings. It’s already strange enough.
