78.3% of disabled third graders in Horry County are not reading at grade level. We must lower class sizes, fully meet our obligations under special education law, and support our teachers. Together, we can deliver excellence for every student.

Parents deserve transparency. Period.
When leaders dismiss concerns about curriculum or try to discredit parents, it’s not a good look for our schools or our teachers. Parents are not the enemy. We are partners in our children’s education.
Unfortunately, a small but vocal group is more focused on protecting the system than listening to families. That’s backwards.
I will always stand with parents and students. I’m not afraid to push back, ask questions, and demand accountability.
Our schools should serve children, not protect a system.
Students over systems.
